We are commited to our values to promote safety, health and environmental stewardship within our company and community; and to be a good corporate citizen in the greater Lehigh Valley and throughout our industry. Caring about our employees, their families and our neighbors is a part of who we are, and it’s the right thing to do.

Over the years we have provided financial donations to support programs that focus on safety, health and our environment. Here are a few examples:

• The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley for enhancing the agency’s Scrubby Bear® program.  The program teaches children the importance of good hand washing habits in fighting germs and preventing colds.

• City of Bethlehem Fire Department to purchase residential smoke alarms for families and individuals within the Fire Department’s jurisdiction who do not have the means to afford them.

• Burn Prevention Foundation to support the Fire Safety House Program, a series of 2-story mobile classrooms designed to resemble a typical home where children learn easy-to-follow procedures to avoid fires from starting and the steps to take should they ever find themselves in a real fire situation.

• Lehigh County Hazmat Department for the purchase of First Responder Training Materials entitled Managing the Incident, a textbook designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for both industry and public safety emergency response personnel to safely and effectively manage a hazardous materials emergency.

• Two Rivers Council of Governments to assist in promoting an electronics recycling day and to provide printed materials informing the public about the environmental risks associated with the disposal of electronic equipment—known to contain heavy metal contaminants such as cadmium, chromium, lead and mercury.

• Lehigh County Hazardous Materials Response Team for calibration and sensor replacement expenses associated with the hand-held gas monitoring instruments used by First Responders.

• Han-Le-Co Volunteer Fire Company to purchase new training materials including the DVD series entitled Essentials of Fire Fighting II and the most current ISTFA Library.
