cGMP Manufacturing Capability for Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology
In late 2009, Puritan Products completed a growth initiative that raised the level of our quality management system to include compliance with 21 CFR Part 211. This accomplishment places us in a select group of companies that have achieved this goal. As a cGMP compliant company, Puritan Products, by definition, has the quality systems and documentation that make us a viable supplier to those markets that are monitored and regulated by the federal government. We also chose to distinguish ourselves further by validating our ultrapure water system, which now produces water to the USP standard. Current pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers are working with Puritan Products to provide bulk pharmaceutical chemicals, custom blended solutions and dilutions, process intermediates, and cleaning chemistries among others. We have been successful in providing a value proposition that makes outsourcing these products an attractive alternative to “in-house” production. Our laboratory staff has the expertise to validate analytical methods to meet the stringent demands of these customers while offering the flexibility to customize the certificate of analysis. Custom Blending/Custom Formulations

Whether you require acids, bases, solvents, or salts, we will blend or dilute them to your specifications. Our unique combination of chemical expertise and equipment engineering capability is employed to bring superior manufacturing capability to you, our customer. Contract Manufacturing
Puritan Products has long term, proven contract manufacturing capabilities to major suppliers in the reagent, microelectronics and pharmaceutical markets and to manufacturing in general. Puritan Products becomes an extension of the company's own manufacturing capability. We have a robust quality control program, and have a fully equipped laboratory to perform all of the analysis required. Our quality control test methods are validated and accurate. To accommodate our partners in the industries we serve, we have designed and built custom manufacturing equipment that offers maximum flexibility. Our philosophy is to provide an open partnership environment with our contract manufacturing partners. Reagent (ACS) quality chemicals
Puritan_Lab_Person.png Puritan Products has been supplying reagent grade chemicals since its inception in 1987. We supply acids, bases, fuming acids, solvents, and blends, dilutions, and/or solutions of acids, bases, solvents, and inorganic salts. The acid line includes acetic acid, formic acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, perchloric acid, phosphoric acid, and sulfuric acid. We also provide ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide solution, sodium hydroxide solution, and hydrogen peroxide. The solvent line includes acetone, acetonitrile, ethyl alcohol, hexane, isopropyl alcohol, methanol, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP), tetrahydrafuran (THF), toluene, and xylene. The fuming acid line includes various concentrations of both nitric and sulfuric acids.

Chemicals for the Microelectronics Market

Puritan Products has a broad line of SEMI and VLSI quality process chemicals to meet your needs. In addition to fab process acids and solvents, we offer custom blended chemistries including post CMP cleans, mixed acid and buffered oxide etchants, photoresist strippers, and custom buffered etchants. All of these products are available in a variety of packaging configurations. Our SEMI and VLSI lines includes acetic acid, acetone, ammonium fluoride, ammonium hydroxide, buffered oxide etchants (BOE), hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrofluoric acid dips (dilute HF), hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol, methanol, mixed acid etchants (MAE), monoethanol amine, n-butyl acetate, fuming nitric acid, nitric acid, 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP), phosphoric acid, potassium hydroxide solution, sodium hydroxide solution, fuming sulfuric acid, sulfuric acid, tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH), toluene, trichloroethylene, and xylenes. Any of the above can be blended or diluted to your specifications. Using deionized water that exceeds electronic grade specifications, we can produce very pure dilutions of any process chemical to meet your specifications.

Fuming Acids

Puritan manufactures fuming nitric acid in the following concentrations: 90%, 98%, red, and red with enriched oxides. Sulfuric acid is manufactured in 15% and 20% concentrations. All of these acids are packaged in either 500 ml PVC coated bottles or 2.5 Liter PVC coated bottles. All packaging is UN/IMDG compliant. Fuming acids are used in a variety of applications. One application utilizing fuming acids is failure analysis in the semiconductor industry. The packaged chip must be successfully decapsulated from its plastic packaging in order for a proper failure assessment to occur. To facilitate the decapsulation, fuming nitric acid and fuming sulfuric acid can be used independently or in conjunction with decapsulation equipment.

Private Labeling Services

Puritan Products has extensive experience in private labeling chemicals for companies in the Chemical and Allied Trade industry and the Semiconductor industry. SEMI, VLSI, Electronic, ACS, and Reagent grade chemicals are manufactured and packaged in our Bethlehem, PA facility. The chemicals are filled in our packaging or customer supplied packaging utilizing semi-automated packaging lines with automated labeling capability. The labels can be printed at our facility on our thermal printing equipment with your artwork or you can supply the labels to us. We provide seamless service to you and your customers.

Contract Packaging
Puritan has the experience and equipment to package products from tank wagons to totes to drums into whatever size package you need. The product weight or volume can be accurately measured so that it is the correct volume or weight for your application. In other words, we can package product so you have the exact amount for a batch--unit dose. We can utilize our semi-automated packaging lines or other manual packaging lines that we have in our facility. The labels can be printed at our facility on our thermal printing equipment with your artwork or you can supply the labels to us. We provide seamless service to you and your customers. Manufacturing and Handling of Hazardous Chemicals

Although safety is paramount at Puritan Products, Inc. we are not averse to manufacturing and handling hazardous chemicals. Since the inception of the business in 1987 we have been in the business of the safe and proper handling and manufacturing of dangerous chemicals. Whether you require acids, bases, solvents, or salts, we will blend or dilute them to your specifications. Our unique combination of chemical expertise and equipment engineering capability is employed to provide superior manufacturing capability to you, our customer. From quantities as little as 50 gallons up to 3000 gallons, we will expertly manufacture your blend. From 500 milliliters to totes, Puritan will package your finished product in packaging specified by you or we can utilize our standard packaging.
